Nacho Carbonell, who was born in Valencia, Spain, in 1980, now lives and works in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

He is internationally renowned for creating design-art pieces with organic materials and animated forms. He studied at Cardenal Herrera University in Spain and the Design Academy Eindhoven, from which he graduated in 2007. It was there that he came up with his first design, Pump It Up, an interactive chair that adapts to the shape of the user’s body at the same time as their weight inflates a group of animals around
